Motion text

That this House welcomes Mencap's new campaign Don't Stick it, Stop it!, which highlights the bullying experienced by children with a learning disability and the devastating effect this has on their lives; is shocked that Mencap's survey of 507 children with a learning disability showed that 8 out of 10 have been bullied, and that for 4 out of 10 the bullying has not stopped even after they have told someone about it; supports Mencap in its efforts to raise awareness of this problem; and calls upon the Government to take urgent action to tackle disablist bullying.
