Motion text

That this House notes that 2008 marks the 100th anniversary of the Territorial Army (TA); recognises the important role that the TA has played over the past 100 years with troops serving in both world wars and in more recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan; pays tribute to all those who have served in the TA and helped to ensure that the UK has a reliable, skilled and well-trained reserve force; and looks forward to the TA remaining a strong and dependable force ready to support regular troops wherever they are deployed.
