Motion text

That this House deplores the presidency of Zimbabwe by Mr Robert Mugabe; regrets that in 1994 he was awarded an honorary knighthood; recalls that in 2003 the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee recommended that he be stripped of this and all other honours and privileges bestowed on him by the United Kingdom; regrets that this has still not been done; and calls upon the Government to recommend the removal of Mugabe's honorary knighthood forthwith.
