That this House notes with approval that membership of The Scout Association rose in the past year by 15,000, the fastest rate for more than 20 years, and now totals 465,000; further notes that there was a 3.7 per cent. increase in youth membership and 1.7 per cent. increase in adult membership in the Movement's centenary year; pays tribute to the volunteer leaders who enable boys and girls to join the adventure; urges other adults to come forward so that even more youngsters can join; and looks forward to Scouting continuing to be attractive to the nation's young people in the years ahead.
