That this House welcomes the first Vocational Qualifications (VQ) Day on 23rd July 2008 to celebrate vocational success; congratulates Edge, the education foundation, and other members of the Further Education Reputation Strategy Group and the wider vocational qualifications community on this initiative; recognises the millions of people who take a vocational qualification every year; believes such qualifications lead onto further vocational study or university and better jobs; and welcomes that for the first time VQ Day will acknowledge this success with the national day of celebration.
