That this House warmly congratulates His Grace, the Archbishop of Liverpool, Monsignor Derek Worlock, on his celebration this week of 25 years as a Bishop; thanks him for his immense contribution to the social and spiritual life of the nation; and recognises the significance of his achievement with the Rt. Reverend David Sheppard, Bishop of Liverpool, and Dr John Newton, Moderator of the Free Churches of Merseyside, in creating strong ecumenical bonds in a community previously divided by sectarianism.
