Motion text

That this House welcomes the Royal British Legion's campaign calling on the nation and Parliament to honour the military covenant; notes with approval that the Government has responded to the campaign with its Service Personnel Command Paper; recognises the important role that the Legion plays in the provision of welfare support for serving men and women, veterans and their families; and urges all hon. and right hon. Members to pledge their support to the campaign to ensure the measures contained in the Command Paper to improve conditions in the areas of healthcare, compensation and support for bereaved families are implemented.
