That this House congratulates Barack Obama on his inauguration as the 44th President of the United States; recognises the significance of his election as the first black President; further recognises the progress the United States has made in terms of integration and equality; and looks forward to the positive impact he will have on relations between the United Kingdom and the United States and on relations between the United States and the wider world.
