That this House congratulates the Engineering Employers Federation on organising Manufacturing Week; notes that as a share of gross domestic product manufacturing has fallen more under this Government than any previous administration; supports manufacturing as vital to the UK economy; recognises its importance in increasing UK exports; and believes that in future manufacturing should lie at the heart of a healthy UK economy.
