leave out from `exports;' to end and insert `and considers the destruction of the coal, steel and other industries by the Conservative administration from 1979 to 1997 triggered the decline.'.

Original motion text

That this House congratulates the Engineering Employers Federation on organising Manufacturing Week; notes that as a share of gross domestic product manufacturing has fallen more under this Government than any previous administration; supports manufacturing as vital to the UK economy; recognises its importance in increasing UK exports; and believes that in future manufacturing should lie at the heart of a healthy UK economy.
