Motion text

That this House believes the Metropolitan Police Authority and Mayor Boris Johnson must reverse their decision to cut 455 police officers in London; further believes that Boris Johnson's failure to guarantee the future of the capital's 630 dedicated safer neighbourhood police teams puts the safety of Londoners at risk; and is concerned that cutting the number of police officers in London threatens to undermine the vital work of the police and communities in making the streets safer.
