Motion text

That this House is aware that during the 1970s and 1980s NHS services infected more than 5,000 people with bleeding disorders and more than 1,200 others and their partners who were infected with HIV from which some died; cannot understand why successive administrations have refused to hold a public inquiry into these tragic events or provide full financial settlements to those involved at a level equivalent to that awarded to sufferers in the Republic of Ireland; and calls on the Government to give full legal effect to the recommendations of the Archer report so that justice may finally be granted to those involved.
