Motion text

That this House pays tribute to Yitzhak Rabin, Prime Minister of Israel, on the 15th anniversary of his assassination on 4 November 1995 by a Jewish fanatic whose objective was to bring to an end Rabin's brave and steadfast commitment to making peace; and calls on today's Israeli politicians to honour Rabin's memory by fulfilling his objective of peace with the Palestinians and a two-state solution.

ASSASSINATION OF NOBEL PEACE PRIZEWINNER YITZHAK RABIN (Amendment 1)
after `peace;' insert `notes the steps taken by successive Israeli leaders, such as Ehud Barak's summit at Camp David in 2000, Ariel Sharon's unilateral withdrawal from Gaza in 2005 and Ehud Olmert's 2008 peace proposal to achieve a lasting peace with the Palestinians; further notes that these wide-ranging and comprehensive offers were all rejected by the Palestinian leadership;'
