Motion text

That this House expresses its deep concern about the removal of cultural artefacts together with both the misuse of and damage to sacred religious sites situated within the currently illegally occupied northern part ofCyprus; and urges the Government to fully adhere to all aspects of signed agreements contained within the Cyprus Act which granted independence to the Republic of Cyprus, to support those United Nations Security Council Resolutions and European Court of Human Rights decisions appertaining to the Cyprus situation, help retrieve and restore lost items and halt all further archaeological excavations and traffic inicons and antiquities from the island, whilst at the same time as aguarantor power, insist on an immediate end to all military imposed restrictions of freedom of movement and religious and cultural activities of its citizens.
