That this House notes that media reports in the Slovak Republic in August 2012 have expressed concern about the forcible adoption of the children of Slovak nationals in the English and Welsh jurisdiction; further notes that on the Slovak Justice Ministry website a `Declaration on adoptions ofSlovak childrenin the UK' has been published whichincludes a statement which translates as `The Representative of the Slovak Republic in proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights and Director of the Centre for International Legal Protection of Children and Young People expresses serious concern over cases of adoptions of children with living biological parents who are alsoSlovak citizenswithout soundreasons, occurring on the decisions of the English courts'; further notes that the Slovak representative at the European Court of Human Rights has expressed a willingness to intervene in support of complaints made by Slovak citizens about wrongful adoptions; and calls on the Equalities and Human Rights Commission to explain why it has not intervened in support of complaints made by UK citizens about wrongful adoptions when the Slovak representative is willing to make such interventions.
