Motion text

That this House recognises the important role of heat pumps, as identified in the Government's Carbon Plan and Heat Strategy, in reducing consumer fuel bills and in decarbonising the heat supply to buildings; welcomes the objective of the fourth carbon budget for the deployment of 6.8 million domestic heat pumps by 2030; further welcomes the Heat Pump Charter produced by eight leading companies in the heat pumps sector, which highlights how energy companies, manufacturers and Government can work together to achieve the fourth carbon budget uptake objectives; and hopes the Government will work to achieve this aim.
