That this House is very concerned by the reported poor practices and other animal welfare issues at Imperial College, London, as reported by The Sunday Times newspaper, following an investigation by the British Union Against Vivisection, in particular the College's breaches of the regulatory regime governing animal experiments and inappropriate licensing and enforcement by the appropriate Government department; and calls for the holding of an independent public inquiry into connected events.
