That this House mourns the demise of man of the turf Sir Henry Cecil whose illustrious training career began in 1968, since when he gained 25 domestic classic thoroughbred horserace winners, including Bolkonski (1975), Wollow (1976), One in a Million (1979), Oh So Sharp (1985), Slip Anchor (1985), Reference Point (1987), Diminuendo (1988), Snow Bride (1989), Michelozzo (1989), Commander in Chief (1993), Bosra Sham (1996), Lady Caria (1996), Reams of Verse (1997), Sleepy Time (1997), Ramruma (1999), Wince (1999), Oath (1999) Love Divine (2000), Light Shift (2007) and Frankel (2011); notes his many other successes, such as his gaining 10 trainer championships and other victories in important horseraces at home and abroad; pays tribute to his outstanding abilities spanning more than four decades which it is doubtful will ever be emulated; and sends heartfelt wishes to his family and friends.
