Motion text

That this House recalls the recent Government triennial review of Visit England and Visit Britain and the report from the Culture, Media and Sport Committee on English tourism which recognised the need more fully to realise the potential of the country's regions and to create a national product development fund to support the growth of world-class experiences and their visibility outside London; notes that Visit England has now completed its approach and has created the Great Places Fund which is engaged in maintaining and building upon England's competitiveness through the development and promotion of its tourism offers and products; and calls on the Government to confirm the necessary financial measures to establish this in the forthcoming Comprehensive Spending Review.
