EAST PARK SCHOOL, GLASGOW

That this House congratulates East Park School, Glasgow, on its programme of celebrations marking 140 years since its foundation in 1874; notes that the school, based in the Maryhill area of the city, is a registered charity providing education and supported accommodation services to children and young people with additional support needs, including autism, with services focussed on the needs of the young people and provided in a way which encourages partnership with the child and family; further notes that the anniversary celebrations included partnering with the Glasgow Taxi Troon Outing during its 700th anniversary year; and welcomes the school's plans for extensive refurbishment and expansion, which will allow it to continue to provide its important services for many years to come.
