That this House congratulates Calderglen High School, Mrs Odette Frazer and Avril Anderson in East Kilbride for engaging their students in organised community volunteering work for the Befrienders Project for seniors in the local area, a number of worthwhile causes, including the local foodbank, sports, music and arts tutoring, supportive peer assistance for children with special needs and the Dementia Friends project; recognises the value of their work to the community as well as the positive impact this has on the students' own development; and encourages other schools to consider following similar models.
