Motion text

That this House congratulates Helensburgh's Gordon Reid on claiming his first Grand Slam tennis title by winning the singles wheelchair final at the Australian Open; and commends him on his talent, his determination and his bravery in refusing to allow the condition transverse myelitis to curtail his tennis career and prevent him becoming a great champion and in the process, making the people of Helensburgh and Scotland very, very proud.
