Motion text

That this House congratulates Kelvingrove Woodcraft Folk on receiving funding of £3,900 from the Big Lottery's Awards for All; understands that the funding will go towards providing activities for children and young people including camping trips, bushcraft skills, co-operative games, arts and crafts, drama, and activities exploring self, the local community and the wider world; further understands that the group makes use of the much-loved and vital outdoor spaces at North Kelvin Meadow and the Children's Wood in the West End of Glasgow to educate young people on these issues; commends Kelvingrove Woodcraft Folk for the vital contribution it makes to the lives of young people in the north of Glasgow; and further commends the group's role in helping these young people, through its activities, understand important issues like co-operation, environment, world debt and global conflict and sustainable development.
