That this House welcomes the launch of Gamble Aware Week which runs from 18 to 23 July 2016; notes that this initiative is now in its second year; recognises the outstanding work that charities such as GamCare, RCA Trust and Gordon Moody do, working together with the betting industry to help problem gamblers; further welcomes the efforts to promote responsible gambling through initiatives such as the nationwide self-exclusion scheme and new mandatory alerts on gaming machines; and further notes that betting shops have been part of our high streets for 55 years and that people should never bet more than they can afford to lose.
