That this House congratulates the Missing Type campaign, which began on 15 August 2016, for raising awareness of the very urgent need to increase the number of blood donors; understands that the first Missing Type campaign took place in 2015 and succeeded in its aim of visually and publically displaying the fact that there is a large deficit of A, B and O blood types due to the scarcity of blood donors; specifically commends the work of the Scottish Ahlul Bayt Society (SABS) for working in partnership with the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) and the NHS National Services Scotland in this global campaign; recognises the crucial role played by SABS in helping sign up some of the biggest brands, celebrities, governmental, private sector and third sector bodies, faith groups and civil society organisations as campaign partners in Scotland; believes that involving as many partnered and supporting brands, celebrities, bodies and organisations as possible raises awareness of the urgent need for more blood donors and encourages more people to donate; and further commends and congratulates all those involved in helping to make the Missing Type campaign 2016 a success.
