That this House congratulates Maryhill Mobile Children's Services, based in the Maryhill area of Glasgow North, on its 30 year anniversary in 2016; recognises the high standard of childcare and range of services that it provides to the people of Maryhill and surrounding areas, including the Mobile Creche, the Respite Service, Dunard Afterschool Care and Evergreen Outdoor Nursery; notes that the Mobile Creche provides fun, play opportunities for children while offering their parents or carers time to attend various groups, such as community education classes, parent support groups and housing association meetings; welcomes the success of the Respite Service which has been running for over six years with four sessions per week from two different venues; acknowledges the work of the Afterschool Care Programme which enables parents and carers to participate fully in all aspects of community life while providing good quality childcare through a team of highly-skilled childcare workers, for children from birth to 16 years old; appreciates the Outdoor Nursery, which uses a Forest School approach to promote outdoor learning, allowing children to explore nature as they learn; and thanks all the staff, volunteers and management for their hard work, commitment and dedication which will allow Maryhill Mobile Children's Services to continue its excellent reputation for high standard childcare in the years to come.
