That this House marks the 200th anniversary of Scotscraig Golf Club, the world's 13th oldest golf club; notes that this significant milestone will be marked with a series of festivities ranging from special tournaments and open days to Grand Matches and opportunities to play the Open championship-qualifying heathland and links course; further notes that as a club it is embracing a new open approach to membership with innovative programmes in place to increase interest in golf among the local community, in particular women new to golf and priority redevelopment of its junior programme, and work with neighbours for the benefit of the economy of Tayport and North East Fife by becoming a community-focused club; and notes that events to celebrate the anniversary of this historic club and course designed under the guidance of Tom Morris and James Braid and which retains many of Braid’s original features, tie in with Scotland's Year of History, Heritage and Archaeology 2017.
