Motion text
That this House notes the devastating impact of today's shock announcement by Tesco to close its Customer Engagement Centre in Maes-Y-Coed Road, Cardiff with up to 1100 job losses; recognises that the centre has been part of the local economy for many years and has a highly skilled, highly motivated workforce; further recognises the significant and overwhelming effect this decision will have on the local economy, workers and their families of Cardiff North as well as the wider economy of South Wales; and urges the Government to seek ways to intervene to help prevent such a decision and support the local economy and local community at this time.
