That this House notes recent research which reveals the decimation of animals across the globe; expresses concern at the prospect that we are witnessing mass extinctions; laments the fact that up to 50 per cent of all animals have been lost in recent decades; condemns the effects of climate change, pollution and overhunting on biodiversity; and calls on the Government to work with other countries to protect biodiversity and prevent extinction.
