SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT FUNDING FOR THE CITIZEN'S THEATRE, GLASGOW

Motion text

That this House welcomes the award of an additional £1.5 million to the Citizen's Theatre from the Scottish Government; understands that this brings the Scottish Government's contribution to the ongoing redevelopment project to £4 million; believes that this funding, along with contribution from the Heritage Lottery Fund of £4.8 million, will have a major impact on the theatre's redevelopment plan and will enable the continued growth of grass roots arts in the Gorbals and Laurieston; and looks forward to the Citizen's Theatre's transformation over the coming years.
