That this House commends Aldi for introducing new, higher rates of pay for its employees; notes that employees outwith London will now be paid the real living wage of £8.75 an hour, deeming Aldi the highest paying supermarket in the UK; further notes that Aldi offer paid breaks, pensions and long service awards; and encourages other supermarkets across the UK to strive to treat their employees with the value and fairness demonstrated by Aldi.
