Motion text
That this House notes that over 84,000 babies are admitted to neonatal care units across England every year; acknowledges research carried out by Bliss that indicates that babies in neonatal care units spend on average eight weeks in hospital; further notes that parents of babies in neonatal care units spend on average £250 on hospital car parking charges, on top of petrol; notes the additional burden hospital car parking charges present for parents on top of the stress caused by their baby's condition; and therefore urges the Government to scrap hospital car parking charges for parents of babies in neonatal care units.
