That this House welcomes the Year of Young People (YoYP) 2018 which aims to inspire Scotland through its young people, in celebrating their achievements, valuing their contribution to communities and creating new opportunities for them to shine locally, nationally and globally; notes YoYP 2018 activities and events are focusing on six themes that young people identified as most important for them as young Scots; further notes that Rhys McCole, a 16 year-old student at Notre Dame High School in Greenock, Inverclyde, has been selected as an ambassador; and wishes Rhys and all the other ambassadors the very best for the year of activities and events.
