DISABILITY RIGHTS COMMISSION
EDM #973
Tabled 23 February 2018
2017-19 Session
That this House welcomes the work undertaken by the Disability Rights Commission, an independent body set up by the Government to help secure civil rights for disabled people; recognises disabled people still face difficulties accessing public buildings; encourages smaller firms to seek expert advice on how to meet the needs of disabled customers; and calls on the Government to ensure that the 2010 Equalities Act is being enforced and full provision is provided by businesses and shops.
