Motion text
That this House notes that an online petition launched by the Daily Mirror on 28 December 2017 demanding the abolition of car park charges for patients, visitors and NHS staff on all NHS hospitals across England; further notes that this petition has over 44,000 signatures; recognises that the huge support for this petition is reflective of the public's disapproval of car parking charges at NHS hospitals in England; admits that car parking charges in hospitals are contradictory to the NHS' founding principle that the NHS should be free at the point of access; and therefore urges the Government to abolish car parking charges at NHS hospitals in England.
