Motion text

That this House expresses concern about the scale of child sexual exploitation in Telford; notes that, in 2015-16, Telford had the highest number of child sexual offences recorded, per head of population, in each of the 317 community safety partnerships in England and Wales; recognises the horrific abuse and suffering of the victims in Telford; calls for a Rotherham-style independent inquiry; and urges the Government to ensure that the authorities in Telford commission this inquiry at the earliest opportunity.
