Motion text

That this House welcomes the decision made by the French President Emmanuel Macron to call for a Humanitarian Conference on Yemen, in Paris on 27 June 2018; notes that 22 million Yemenis are currently in need of urgent humanitarian assistance; further notes the joint non-governmental letter of 4 June 2018 to President Macron outlining the conditions necessary for a joint conference with Saudi Arabia to be effective and fully endorses those conditions; and calls on the Government to support the efforts of the French President at the humanitarian conference to provide much needed assistance to the people of Yemen.
