Motion text
That this House recognises the close links between Pittsburgh, USA and Dunfermline, Scotland which have been developed over many years through our joint association with the life and work of Andrew Carnegie; expresses its sincere condolences to the people of Pittsburgh, and especially the Jewish community there, which this week witnessed a direct attack on their place of worship causing many innocent men, women and children to have their lives taken or to have sustained serious injury through such a mindless act of violence; and offers its support and solidarity and sends a message that its thoughts, hopes and prayers are with Pittsburgh at this difficult time.
