Motion text
That this House welcomes the acquittal of Asia Bibi and the steps taken by the Supreme Court of Pakistan; condemns the subsequent threats to her and the Supreme Court Justices' lives; calls for the strikes, consequential anarchy, and damage to the property of citizens by extremists to immediately cease; expresses concern about the seeming reluctance of the Pakistani Government to address the attempts at mob rule and urges it to enforce the rule of law; and further urges the Pakistani Government to secure Asia Bibi and her family’s safety and the safety of those Supremo Court Justices.
