Motion text
That this House recognises the rising tide of knife crime in parts of the UK, increasing gun crime in parts of the US, along with massive political uncertainty in the Middle East, Europe and in the UK; acknowledges that 100 years ago as the First World War, the Great War, drew to its close a National Day of Prayer was convened to encourage Christians across the nation to pray for healing and an end to conflict; and expresses the hope that such a call can be made and answered in 2018.
