EDM #1834
Tabled 14 November 2018
2017-19 Session
That this House acknowledges the work of Swami Vivekananda and his message of Universal Tolerance, Harmony and Peace; notes and reflects upon his historic speech in 1893 at the Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago, US; considers his speech, at the young age of 30 years old, a landmark in interfaith dialogue; further notes how well he represented Hinduism in 1883 and beyond; and supports the sentiment he expressed, that we believe not only in universal tolerance, but we accept all religions as true.
