Line 2, leave out from 'Lineker;' to end and insert 'and agrees with Gary Lineker and urges the Government to listen to him and hold a referendum to give the people the choice between accepting the draft Withdrawal Agreement or staying in the EU.'

Original motion text

That this House notes repeated political comments on social media regarding left wing protests and the call for a second referendum by well-known and highly paid football presenter Gary Lineker; acknowledges that BBC guidelines restrict other presenters from making politicised comments; and calls upon the BBC to review its position in order to attempt a restoration of public confidence in how presenters earning millions from the public purse can be seen to act impartially.
