That this House celebrates the incredible legacy and creative genius of Charles Rennie Mackintosh; reflects on the year-long programme of events that took place in 2018 to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Charles Rennie Mackintosh; notes that highlights included the re-opening of the Willow Tearooms on Sauchiehall Street, Miss Cranston's original tearooms and a major exhibition at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum; further notes that celebrations were widespread, with the Hunterian at the University of Glasgow, Glasgow School of Art, the V&A in Dundee, and House for an Art Lover all participating; and hopes that Mackintosh continues to be influential for generations to come.
