That this House congratulates BBC Radio Scotland, which launched as a full time radio network on 23 November 1978, on reaching its 40 year anniversary; values the contribution that BBC Radio Scotland has made to the cultural fabric of Scotland; appreciates the range of news, music, entertainment and sport offered by BBC Radio Scotland; particularly notes the diversity of the musical offer, including new music showcased by Vic Galloway, Another Country with Ricky Ross, The Jazz House, The Quay Sessions, Take the Floor, Pipeline, Travelling Folk, and Classics Unwrapped; welcomes the forum that BBC Radio Scotland has provided for debate and discussion in Scottish Politics; and wishes all staff and contributors every success for the future.
