Motion text
That this House commends the exceptional work of Jill Lauder and her volunteers at Lady J’s Unisex Hair Salon in Grangemouth, who run the Feel Good Project, an award-winning community initiative supported by the Macmillan one to one team from NHS Forth Valley; recognises that the project was started in memory of three of Jill’s close friends who sadly lost their battle with cancer; notes that on the first Monday of every month they offer beauty treatments, support, advice, information and friendship to women who are experiencing hair loss due to treatment for cancer; congratulates the project on having had a positive impact on the lives of women with cancer in the community; encourages other salons to set up their own Feel Good Project; further congratulates Jill on having previously been awarded CVS Falkirk’s volunteer of the year; and wishes the project continued success in the future.
