That this House notes with regret the passing of Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya; recognises the enormous contribution that Lord Bhattacharyya made to the UK manufacturing sector and in particular the automotive sector; notes the critical role Lord Bhattacharyya played in negotiating the sale of Jaguar Land Rover between Ford and TATA and helping assure its subsequent growth; further notes Lord Bhattacharyya' s extraordinary networking skills in bringing inward investment into Coventry and the wider West Midlands region; and acknowledges the leadership that he gave during a long career at the University of Warwick through the establishment of the world-leading Warwick Manufacturing Group and associated businesses.
