WILLIAM CANNON - SAMSON CHAIR WORLD RECORD

That this House congratulates William Cannon of Barrhead for breaking his own Samson Chair world record in aid of DEBRA UK; notes that Mr Cannon completed the agonising static wall-sit challenge for 12 hours 45 minutes and 17 seconds outside Eastwood Park Leisure in Giffnock, East Renfrewshire; further notes that DEBRA UK is a charity which supports individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa, a rare skin condition; acknowledges that Mr Cannon has broken over 600 world records whilst raising money for charity; and thanks the staff and customers of East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure for supporting Mr Cannon through his record breaking day.
