That this House welcomes the Fairer Fife Commission and the Fife Partnership proposals to make Glenrothes the first Living Wage Town in Scotland; commends the efforts of the Fife Partnership in setting up an Action Group to take forward those proposals; welcomes the allocation of funding to provide an Economy Officer for this important project; looks forward to seeing the Action Plan being put into place to champion and promote businesses in committing to pay their employees the Living Wage as determined by the Living Wage Foundation; commends those who have already signed up to support a Living Wage in Glenrothes and the surrounding area; and encourages all businesses and employers to do likewise.
