Motion text
That this House recognises that there are more than 20,000 households living in fuel poverty in Coventry; further recognises that there are 2.55 million households living in fuel poverty across the UK; notes that the percentage of households living in fuel poverty in Coventry is higher than both the West Midlands and the national average; acknowledges the hardship and suffering this causes; regrets that so few houses have benefited from the national energy efficiency programme; and calls on the Government to rapidly increase the rates of energy-efficiency improvements to low-income households.
