Motion text
That this House congratulates the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow and Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) on their new partnership, which aims to benefit children and young people with life-shortening conditions and their families; acknowledges that the new Supportive and Palliative Care Team is the first of its kind in Scotland and will involve specialist nurses working alongside a consultant in paediatric palliative medicine to share specialist knowledge, to improve care for children who are likely to die young and to support their families; commends both organisations for this initiative, which aims to ensure that children with palliative care needs and their families experience consistently high-quality care; and wishes all those involved in the delivery of this sensitive and important service every success.
