That this House congratulates Chris McGill on receiving the 14th Annual STUC Helen Dowie Award for Lifelong Learning; recognises Chris’s contribution as a long-standing Health and Safety Representative at Warburtons in Bellshill; notes his work as a BWAFU Union Learning Rep at the Warburtons site including establishing a workforce development forum and providing Mental Health Awareness training for 100 workers; and calls on the Government to work with trade unions and employers to provide greater workforce learning and development opportunities in workplaces across the UK.
